A Lutheran in a Tipi provides a link to this article on why men cannot be found in as large of #s as women in our churches. He especially picks on those preachers (like myself) who like fancy cheeses. I have found arguments by Robert Bly and others compelling re: the different situations of men and women in the world AND in the church. On the other hand, I have found many male/female theological distinctions sickening or wrong-headed (the list of long, from Kierkegaard to von Balthasar, etc.).
What is it about men and women that we should pay attention to as church? In terms of our preaching and life together?
