Sheldon Solomon on Ernest Becker

Have I ever mentioned Ernest Becker here on the blog. I don't remember. Anyway, Becker's work was profoundly influential in the work of one of my favorite theologians, Gerharde Forde. Click here to go to a set of mp3s of Sheldon Solomon lecturing on the thought of Ernest Becker. Download them, burn them to a CD, and listen while you drive- or if you are one of those lucky enough to actually own an iPod, then load them up and enjoy.

Dude--you should just buy an ipod and be done with it. Here's my rationale:

    a) you're an apple freak
    b) you already love itunes
    c) you know you want to do so
    d) you deserve it (well, that's not a great reason)

  2. I am an apple freak, but I still can't bring myself to invest that much money in a souped up walkman.

Thanks for trying to push me over the edge, but I'm holding out for lower prices, or an iPod that is actually a mini-laptop.
