I now am aware of at least two high quality Lutheran musicians who are doing settings of the liturgy. See Jonathan Rundman's page for a lot of his music, and watch this summer for his new album, which includes a folk-rock version of the ordo. Titles of albums include: Sound Theology, and Public Library. If you know me and my spouse, there aren't more ideal titles for albums than these.
Then, there's this blue grass, Kent Gustavson, who hangs out at Holden Village a lot, and has written, in addition to a number of liturgies, musical settings of all 150 psalms.
Hi Clint,
ReplyDeleteI appreciate the review of my site... The link, however, isn't working -- it points to http://lutheranconfessions.blogspot.com/www.kentgustavson.com instead of my site!
Thank you, and many blessings.
