Okay, you've convinced me.BUT, you only did so because I see Luther, Lutheran theology, and general church history integrated so fully into our worship, studies, sermons, etc. at GSLC in ways I haven't in my many years as a Lutheran. When the Reformation or Luther(an) theology is so intentionally pursued in all we do as a church, then getting rid of Reformation Sunday makes sense. In the past, however, Reformation Sunday would often be the only day of the year we would really pay any attention to this part of our church history and theology.

  2. Thanks, Angie. Right, anyone who knows me or knows my ministry knows that the Lutheran worldview is integral to everything I do, not isolated to one Sunday. My blog is called Lutheran Confessions. I'm teaching the Augsburg Confession to teenagers. I did a series on the Small Catechism this last Lent. And so on. So thanks for noticing that!
